Study Proposes New Standards for Safely Performing Brazilian Butt Lift

Fat grafting, a popular technique used in the Brazilian butt lift procedure, has attracted a growing concern about complications resulting from the surgery. To address this concern, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons conducted a study over the safety of gluteal fat grafting in the Brazilian butt lift procedure. Results concluded that gluteal fat grafting is safe, as long as injections are isolated to the “subcutaneous tissue,” the tissue just beneath the skin.
